SeriesFest announced today its exciting Opening Night lineup featuring a special performance by Grammy and Golden Globe nominee Sia alongside the North American Premiere of BBC AMERICA’s The Hunt presented by Emmy-winners Alastair Fothergill and Huw Cordey at the Opening Night of the international television and content festival. SeriesFest: Season Two will launch at the internationally-renowned Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Wednesday, June 22nd.
"We are thrilled to host Sia and present the North American Premiere of BBC AMERICA’s The Hunt for SeriesFest: Season Two's Opening Night," said Randi Kleiner, CEO of SeriesFest. "The natural setting of Red Rocks will provide a magical backdrop to experience the majesty of The Hunt and a rare, live performance by Sia, who continues to bring a fresh voice to storytelling through music. This is the perfect way to kick off this year’s five-day celebration of episodic storytelling."
The multi-Golden Globe and Grammy nominee’s first solo record, Healing Is Difficult, put Sia’s career on a new track, and she followed it with records Colour the Small One and Some People Have Real Problems. In addition to songs such as "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart" propelling her to pop chart fame, Sia has also co-written songs for major recording artists including Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Flo Rida, Alicia Keys, and Rihanna. Her songs have been featured in major film and television series including Fifty Shades of Grey, Entourage, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Great Gatsby. Sia made a cameo appearance in season two of Amazon’s Transparent and her hit single “Breathe Me” played in the final scene of the Six Feet Under series.
