The new media/television landscape has changed dramatically over the last few years. With more delivery platforms and distribution models, it’s an exciting time for both content creators and professional performers. But there are also many questions about what constitutes “new media,” which contracts apply, and more. This presentation by SAG-AFTRA business representative Kiley Cristiano will provide an overview and answer questions frequently asked by filmmakers creating episodic web series and other new media projects.

Kiley Cristiano started her career in publicity at Paramount Pictures before joining Sony Pictures Entertainment, where she was involved in creating digital and traditional marketing initiatives for television shows and later oversaw marketing and creative production on various DVD and Blu-Ray titles. After leaving Sony, Ms. Cristiano worked as development executive and literary manager for Twilight producer Mark Morgan. She came to SAG-AFTRA in 2015 and currently works in Television and New Media Entertainment Contracts as a signatory business representative focusing on high budget New Media productions made for Netflix and Amazon.
