Women Directing Mentorship

Running Time Options: n/a

SeriesFest and Shondaland are proud to partner for the second year on the Women Directing Mentorship -- a competition designed to discover aspiring female directors with a unique voice and provide a launchpad for their career. The Women Directing Mentorship initaitve is anchored with the prestigious opportunity to shadow a director for an episode of a Shondaland original series, and a $5,000 stipend to use during the duration of their mentorship.

Independent Pilot Competition

Running Time Options: 18-60min

SeriesFest’s Independent Pilot Competition provides a platform for the most innovative drama, comedy, unscripted and animated pilots out there ranging from 18 to 60 minutes.

Submissions are now closed. These series will compete for various awards including Best Pilot and the illustrious Audience Award at our virtual celebration of episodic storytelling June 18-24, 2020.

Digital Short Series

Running Time Options: Less than 15min

Some of the most innovative storytelling now resides in the digital space. SeriesFest is looking to find and honor exciting new digital series with episodes under 15 minutes.

Late Night

Running Time Options: 30min or less

SeriesFest's Late Night Competition is defined as live action or animated programs with a total run time of 4-15 minutes featuring the strange, absurd, comedic, sketch, or “what the hell?” that can run as a mini series or extended seasons.

Pitch-A-Thon!

Running Time Options:

Independent content creators will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive live pitch session at our virtual celebration of episodic storytelling (June 18-24, 2020) with top television, new media and digital execs in hopes of moving their projects - and careers - forward. Projects are strictly in script phase (unproduced).

Storytellers Initiative: Collegiate Writing Competition

Running Time Options:

The Season 6 Storytellers Initative winning script with be celebrated with a live read at our virtual celebration of episodic storytelling June 18-24, 2020.

Collegiate Creators Spotlight

Running Time Options:

SeriesFest is opening up its Independent Pilot search to collegiate and university students nationwide. We will be showcasing 18-60 minute drama, comedy, unscripted and animated pilots at our virtual celebration of episodic storytelling June 18-24, 2020.
