We recognize that the global impact of COVID-19 has greatly affected storytellers and their projects, from production halts to disrupted festival premiere plans. As we constructed the policies and procedures for submitting projects for Season 7 consideration, we worked to add new programs to highlight independent series that have been affected or even inspired by the challenges of the past year.
Furthermore, we have decided to pivot SeriesFest: Season 7 (June 24–July 11, 2021) to a “hybrid” festival format, which will include a combination of physical and virtual screenings, panels, professional development workshops and socially-distanced in person events.
We look forward to seeing all of you next year in Denver! In the meantime, check out our exciting slate of competitions and get your projects in before prices go up on December 18, 2020.
