About the Honorees

Rhea Seehorn

Rhea Seehorn is best known for her role as ‘Kim Wexler’ in AMC’s Emmy nominated series “Better Call Saul.”  Seehorn’s portrayal of Kim has deemed the character as one of the current most powerful women on TV and earned her two Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and three Critics; Choice Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Seehorn also earned herself an Emmy nomination for her role in AMC’s Short Form Comedy “Cooper’s Bar” in which she is also a producer.

Seehorn was most recently seen in the latest installment of the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Next up, Seehorn will lead the untitled Vince Gilligan Apple TV+ series. Seehorn can be seen in HBO’s series “Veep,” Hulu’s miniseries “The Act,” and the CBS All Access series

“The Twilight Zone.” Other television credits include; ABC’s “I’m With Her,” FOX’s “Head Cases,” NBC’s “Whitney,” TNT’s “Franklin & Bash,” “Trust Me,” “Dollhouse,” “Burn Notice,” “The Closer,” “Starter Wife,” and “House of Lies.”
Seehorn’s film credits include Linoleum, Inside Man: Most Wanted, I Hate Kids, and The Shaggy Dog and Netflix’s Things Heard and Seen. Seehorn also has a significant theatre background with 10 years of experience in Washington D.C and 3 years in New York.

Jason Ritter

Jason Ritter can currently be seen as a series regular opposite Kathy Bates in MATLOCK on CBS. Jason will next be seen in a recurring role in DC Studios’ and HBO’s LANTERNS, opposite Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre, and as a guest star opposite Natasha Lyonne and Method Man in the anthology series POKER FACE on Peacock. Most recently, Ritter starred in Howard Gordon’s anthology series ACCUSED for FOX. Jason can also recently be seen starring in Netflix’s RAISING DION and CANDY on Hulu. Previous television credits include starring in ABC’s KEVIN SAVES THE WORLD as well as Comedy Central’s ANOTHER PERIOD. Other work includes a run as a recurring guest star on ABC’s A MILLION LITTLE THINGS, GOLIATH, DRUNK HISTORY, GIRLS, and PARENTHOOD, for which Jason received an Emmy nomination. Jason’s film credits are the Emmy-nominated HBO film THE TALE opposite Laura Dern, BITCH, THE INTERVENTION directed by Clea Duvall, and THE MEDDLER opposite Rose Byrne and Susan Sarandon. Jason also voiced the lead role of “Dipper Pines” in Disney’s GRAVITY FALLS and the supporting role of “Fox Dad” in SLUMBERKINS for Apple TV+. Jason can now be heard voicing the lead role of “Jonathan Fall” in Netflix’s animated series, CAPTAIN FALL, and his voice will next be featured in an episode of KRAPOPOLIS on FOX.

Emil Pinnock

A true champion of independent storytelling, Pinnock made a powerful impact with the world premiere of his original series Up North in our 2017 Independent Pilot Competition, where the show broke records and earned multiple honors including Best Pilot, Best Actor, Best Director, and the coveted Audience Award. As a writer, producer, and director, Pinnock has continued to uplift underrepresented voices and powerful narratives through his production company, Unleashing Giants Studios. His impressive career includes production deals with top-tier studios like Blumhouse Productions, Endeavor Content, and Radar Pictures. Currently, he’s developing original stories centered on the Negro Baseball League, FUBU founder Daymond John, and the legendary Biggie Smalls.
