In season three of “Acapulco,” it’s time to reconcile past mistakes and exciting new beginnings. In the present story, older Maximo finds himself returning to a Las Colinas he no longer recognizes. While in 1985, younger Maximo continues his climb up the ladder of success while potentially jeopardizing all the relationships he’s worked so hard to build.

Austin Winsberg is the co-creator and executive producer of “Acapulco.” He also created, executive produced and show-ran the Emmy Award-winning show “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”. Winsberg produced and co-wrote “Secret Society of Second Born Royals.” He adapted the “Sound of Music” tv event starring Carrie Underwood, which had the highest viewership of all the live network musicals. Other credits include “9JKL,” “Gossip Girl,” “Jake in Progress” (where he was youngest showrunner in ABC history), and “Still Standing.” Winsberg graduated with a Theater Arts degree from Brown University. He is a five-time winner of the Blank Theater Company’s Annual Young Playwrights Festival.

Sam Laybourne is an Emmy Award-nominated writer and producer who runs the third season of “Acapulco” for Apple TV+. He was a consultant on “That 90s Show,” an executive producer on “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” and co-creator/co-showrunner of “The Michael J. Fox Show.” Laybourne’s TV writing credits include “Black-ish,” “Arrested Development,” “The Real O’Neals,” “Cougar Town” and “Aliens in America,” among many others. In addition, he has written features for
Columbia Pictures, 20th Century Fox and Sony Screen Gems and has developed both half-hour and drama TV concepts for CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, AppleTV+ and Freeform.

Her TV credits include ‘Firefly’ on the “Batman” prequel series “Gotham,” “Social Distance,” “The Blacklist,” “Power,” “The Path,” “Law & Order: SVU” and “Blue Bloods.” She most recently appeared in a heavy recurring arc in “A Teacher,” produced by the Duplass brothers. Her film credits include “The Wilde Wedding,” “Who We Are Now,” “The Social Ones,” “Low Tide,” “The Drummer” and her latest film “The Same Storm.”
