About our Honorees
Minnie Driver
Note: Minnie Driver will no longer be in attendance.
Minnie Driver first came to the attention of audiences and critics alike in 1995 for her critically acclaimed performance in Circle of Friends, in which she starred with Chris O’Donnell. She went on to earn Oscar and Screen Actors Guild nominations, both in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for the award-winning feature, Good Will Hunting, directed by Gus Van Sant. In 1998 she was honored with ShoWest’s prestigious Female Star of Tomorrow for her work. Driver can currently be seen in Uproar, an official TIFF selection directed by Paul Middleditch and Hamish Bennett. The heartwarming film in which 17-year-old Josh Waaka, Driver’s son, is forced to make a change and stand up for himself like he never has before.
Driver hosts her iHeart podcast “Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver,” currently in its third season. She has had esteemed guests such as Chelsea Clinton, Jeremy O. Harris, Alan Cumming, Ronan Farrow, Dave Grohl, Viola Davis, Brooke Shields, Graham Norton, Constance Wu, Colman Domingo, Justin Long, Hoda Kotb, Cindy Crawford, and Anna Faris, to name a few.

Betsy Beers
Betsy Beers is a groundbreaking producer and the longtime producing partner of Shonda Rhimes. Under the Shondaland banner, they have developed and produced some of the most industry-leading series in television. Through Shondaland’s unprecedented exclusive deal with Netflix, Beers serves as executive producer on “Bridgerton,” one of the most watched series debut in Netflix history, “Dance Dreams: Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” following legendary choreographer Debbie Allen, “Inventing Anna” inspired by the story of Anna Delvey and most recently, “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story” which debuted at No.1 on Netflix’s English TV List and in the Top 10 in 91 countries.
