The Mobile Cinema Lab serves students grades 6-12 across Colorado and we are currently booking our 2024/2025 sessions. The program has been presented to regular accolades over the last 3 years and provides up to 20 students with 20 contact hours in which they explore finding their voice/innate storytelling abilities through collaboratively writing, filming, and editing their own short film or TV pilot. We provide the instructors, all of whom are professional filmmakers, and the industry standard gear.

WHAT WE OFFER
Education
Our talented instructors bring storytelling to life! All instructors are fully background checked and trained to work in schools using culturally responsive and inclusive teaching strategies
Equipment
We provide full cinema packages for each grade level. Students will get a hands-on opportunity to become a filmmaker and storyteller all while using the same gear professionals use.
Curriculum
The MCL curriculum is story-based and built on collaboration. Students will work in teams to write, produce, and edit their own short films and TV pilots all while learning how to utilize 21st-century technology throughout.
“Any educator would be very lucky to be able to participate in anything like this. The students gained so much confidence and have grown so much in such a short amount of time in the classroom. They’re raising their hands a lot more, getting to be more outspoken in our morning meetings, and actually wanting to talk. I feel like this group of students will forever be changed.“
—Ms. Cordova, DPS Teacher
