About our panelists
Lucy Porter is a Los Angeles-based writer, comedian, and person with extraordinarily wide thumbs. She holds an MFA in screenwriting from DePaul University and is a graduate of Second City’s Comedy Studies program. A dynamic comedic voice with feminine flair, Lucy dazzles audiences across the country with her signature cabaret style of comedy, embracing original songs and auto-biographical storytelling.
As a screenwriter, her female-driven comedies have received notoriety placing in Screencraft’s Comedy Competition (2022), Final Draft’s Big Break (2022), and as an official selection for SeriesFest’s Pitch-a-Thon (2023).
Her proof-of-concept pilot, BITS, premiered at this year’s SeriesFest, winning her the Outstanding Series Format Deck Award presented by Canva and the Someone to Watch Award for her “boldness of voice and cheeky blend of comedy and pathos.”
A local to the snowy slopes of Keystone, Colorado, Claire Taylor graduated from University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies with an emphasis on Acting and Education. After graduation, she said a teary goodbye to wide open spaces (insert The Chicks lyrics here) and moved to New York City (cue Sopranos theme song) where she focused on applying her passion for storytelling through producing theater and developing television for Triptyk Studios, who are best known for An American In Paris, You’re Welcome America, Amelie: The Musical, and Xanadu. Thrilled to be back in her home state after 7 years in the Big Apple, Claire has been a proud member of the SeriesFest team since Season One where she oversees all festival and year-round programming.
