Series Synopsis

You know that big, deep, dark secret you’re hiding? The one you hope no one ever finds out? What would you do if it became center stage in your life? Would it break you—or transform you?

Moans of pleasure and pain echo through The Dungeon, the beating heart of Miami’s 1999 kink scene. At its center is Zara Castillo, a 28-year-old Queer Afro-Latina Dominatrix at the height of her career. Her partners—Jayden, a straight 32-year-old power attorney, and Shani, a 30 year old closeted Southern med student—share a deep, polyamorous bond that transcends love, sex, and power.

But secrets surface. Zara is quietly battling her mental health. Jay’s private kink life is exposed at work. Shani is outed to people she both loves and hates. As their carefully constructed world unravels, the triad must choose: let their truth shatter their bond—or allow it to transform them and their impact on the kink community. 100% Switch is a psychological drama, with notes of dark humor, that bears witness to the world of POC, Queer, Neurodivergent, Kink, and Polyamorous life as they confront their respective and collective realities of learning a new normal.

Director Statement

When I began writing this script in 2022, I had no idea I was writing my way out of years of a quiet war for self-acceptance. I don’t come to this story as an outsider looking in, but as someone deeply shaped by the intersectional cultures at its core. As a first-time director, that lived experience guides how I approach storytelling—with authenticity, vulnerability, and an unwavering reverence for human dignity and emotional depth.

In today’s media landscape, so many narratives about identity are shaped by polarization and performance. 100% Switch invites you into an alternate world that resists monoliths—where BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identities are layered, kink is complex and affirming, mental health is real, and love doesn’t always look like the mainstream. It’s built to entertain, yes– as well as to provoke deeper questions about the human behind the labels.

At its core, 100% Switch asks one central question: Will you say yes to #LoveAnyway?

I’m deeply grateful to the early champions who helped shape this story’s courage—especially Open Television, SeriesFest, Actor’s Growth Lab, and my mentors Jess King, Milan Chakraborty, and Nikki Love. Your belief in this vision makes it possible.
