Contract Graphic Designer

Reports to Marketing Manager

Pay: $3,500/month

We are looking for a graphic designer to create engaging on-brand graphics using SeriesFestโ€™s brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong, agile creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their process and experience.

 

GENERAL

  • Full time Contract Position
  • Hybrid: Downtown Denver, CO
  • A degree or equivalent work experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or related field
  • Festival or event experience is preferred.

SKILLS

 

  • A keen eye for aesthetics, detail, and clarity
  • An affinity for solving design problems in a fast-paced festival/event environment
  • The flexibility to employ best practices while leaving room for creative solutions
  • The agility to design varied, impactful materials (most often using our brand kits)
  • Proactivity in communication and action
  • Ability to balance autonomous and collaborative work environments
  • Experience with commercial printing requirements and practices (prepress), as well as digital formats (including social media, web banner ads, email, digital billboards, presentations, video assets, etc)
  • Experience with InDesignโ€™s โ€œData Mergeโ€
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines as they are assigned throughout the contract.
  • Experience with animation/motion graphics is a plus.

 

TECHNOLOGY

 

  • Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and G-Suite are required
  • Experience with Airtable is preferred

DUTIES & TASKS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing graphic design support, testing graphics across media (digital and print), and ensuring output aligns with SeriesFestโ€™s brand standards.
  • Conceptualizing, designing, testing, proofing, and facilitating production for marketing materials using our media and brand toolkit (not limited to festival badges, signs/posters, programs, flyers, digital and print ads, merchandise, step and repeats, invitations, email graphics, social media graphics, presentations, and web graphics)
  • Proofing copy for impact, spelling, and grammar (final quality control)
  • Preparing files for commercial printing (prepress) and checking printer proofs.
  • Organizing and responding to feedback from all communication channels, ensuring final output aligns with SeriesFestโ€™s expectations.
  • Participating in weekly design reviews and revisions, as well as all-hands department and company meetings.
  • Setup/install and breakdown of marketing materials and associated fixtures.
