Contract Graphic Designer

Reports to Marketing Manager

Compensation: $7500

We are looking for a graphic designer to create engaging on-brand graphics using SeriesFestโ€™s brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong, agile creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their process and experience.

GENERAL

  • Full time / 40 Hours Per Week
  • Hybrid: Downtown Denver, CO
  • A degree or equivalent work experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or related field
  • Festival or event experience is preferred.

SKILLS

  • A keen eye for aesthetics, detail, and clarity
  • An affinity for solving design problems in a fast paced festival/event environment
  • The flexibility to employ best practices while leaving room for innovation
  • The creativity to design varied, impactful materials (most often using an established brand kit)
  • Proactivity in communication and action
  • Ability to balance autonomous and collaborative work environments
  • Knowledge of commercial printing requirements and practices (prepress)
  • Management skills to coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines as they are assigned throughout the contract.

TECHNOLOGY

  • Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and G-Suite are required
  • Familiarity with Airtable is preferred

DUTIES & TASKS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing graphic design support, testing graphics across media, and ensuring output aligns with SeriesFestโ€™s brand & standards.
  • Compiling and organizing feedback from various channels, ensuring final output aligns with requirements.
  • Conceptualizing visuals and layout for marketing materials using our media and brand toolkit.
  • Participating in design reviews and revisions.
  • Proofing copy for efficacy, spelling, and grammar.
  • Conceptualizing, designing, and facilitating production for marketing materials (not limited to festival badges, signs/posters, programs, flyers, ads, merchandise, step and repeats, invitations, email, social media, and web graphics).
  • Preparing files for commercial printing (prepress) and checking printer proofs.ย
