SeriesFest is excited to announce that through the generosity of the Best Buy Blue Gives Back Foundation, we were able to take our acclaimed SeriesFest Mobile Cinema Lab program national! Over the course of the summer of 2023 and in partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs, we brought the Mobile Cinema Lab to Chicago, IL, Jersey City, NJ, Elizabeth, NJ, Redlands, CA, and Colorado Springs, CO. The programs were a terrific success that we look forward to continuing.
The SeriesFest Mobile Cinema Lab is a traveling program that features up-to-date film and audio equipment and instruction by professional filmmakers. We have a fully developed curriculum that guides students through writing, production, post-production, and more. SeriesFest strives to inspire and celebrate the voice of every student and we believe it is our mission to break down barriers that limit access for students in our community.
As the world changes, the importance of visual literacy and 21st-century skills becomes more and more important. SeriesFest Mobile Cinema Lab brings STEAM-based educational strategies to students, schools, and community organizations year-round. The program serves students 6th–12th grade.
