SeriesFest University

Collegiate Fellows, presented by Xfinity University

SeriesFest invites college students from across the country to apply to attend the festival as a Collegiate Fellow. Students currently enrolled in any college or university can apply to be selected to receive a Collegiate Fellows Badge to attend SeriesFest: Season 7, June 24–30, 2021.
SeriesFest is proud to present this opportunity in partnership with Xfinity University.

Collegiate Pilot Competition

SeriesFest selects the finest produced content created by college students or by universities across the globe. These pilots are showcased in the Festival and are juried by a panel of industry professionals.
Apply at Film Freeway beginning September 16.

Season 6 selections: I Put the Bi in Bitter (CU Denver), The Daily (University of Western Arkansas), The Safety Plan (Los Angeles City College), Sweaty Palms (Colorado Film School), Super (American Film Institute)

Storytellers: Collegiate Writing Competition

Each year, SeriesFest selects one unproduced script from collegiate and university students for our Storytellers competition. The winning script receives a workshop with industry professionals, and a live-read event at SeriesFest.
Apply at Film Freeway beginning September 16.

Youth Education

Virtual Learning Lab

SeriesFest has launched the Virtual Learning Lab—a place for students to have unique and meaningful experiences with content virtually. Young Storytellers

SeriesFest is bringing the award-winning Young Storytellers Script To Stage program to Denver. This is a free program for Denver-area elementary schools focused on encouraging the unique and individual voices of fifth-grade students in the Metro Area. Young Storytellers engages creativity through the art of storytelling. Using the timeless techniques of mentoring, collaboration, and performance, we provide public school students with an opportunity to write stories and see them brought to life. SeriesFest's TV Pilot Academy is for middle and high school students with a passion for creating their own unique episodic content. Students will work as a team to create an original independent TV pilot through a writers room and production workshop. The team's original creation will screen during SeriesFest on the big screen!
