Storytelling is universal, and with that, borders cannot exist.

SeriesFest’s annual International Spotlight invites viewers to discover some of today’s best television shows from around the world. Series in this category cannot have been released via any home video outlet, broadcast on television in the USA.  If this is an independently shot pilot, please check our Independent Pilot Competition.

Independent Pilot Competition: Comedy
Independent Pilot Competition: Drama

Pilots are in competition for the international spotlight  audience awards. Submit your 18-60 minute pilots in the following categories:

Drama
Comedy

Pilots selected do not need to retain any sort of premiere status, however, programmers do consider premiere status, previous festival screenings, and awards when deciding on official competition selections. Submissions are welcome from around the world, but submissions must be in English or include English subtitles.

AWARDS & PRIZES

  • Audience Award

Winners will be determined by a jury of high-profile industry and talent during the annual festival. Winners are announced at our Awards Ceremony and are included on our website and in media announcements. View previous jury members and winners below.

ENTRY MATERIALS

  • Submit 1-2 episodes
  • English subtitles required
  • All genres will be considered
  • Series must have been completed after January, 2024
  • Recurring seasons are acceptable, if season can stand alone
  • Send Press Kit (if available)
  • Co-Productions are acceptable

To be eligible for consideration in SeriesFest: Season 12, you must provide all required materials at the time of submission. Awards are contingent on partner funding—please review the available awards at the time of your application for the most accurate information.
